Professor Fernando Rodríguez is Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at the University of Cantabria, Spain. He received his PhD from the University of Cantabria, Santander. His current research interests focus on Jahn-Teller systems and Spin transition phenomena at high pressure by time-resolved spectroscopy. He is co-founder of the Spanish High-Pressure Consortium (MALTA). He was elected Chairman of the EHPRG in 2003.
