Vadim Brazhkin

Professor Vadim Brazhkin is Deputy Director in General of the Institute for High Pressure Physics of Russian Academy of Sciences (IHPP RAS), Troitsk, Russia. He received his PhD in Physics from the the Institute of Physics and Technology and Institute for High Pressure Physics, Moscow, Russia. His current research interests include solid state amorphization, phase transformations in disordered systems, physics of liquids and glasses, carbon materials, water and ices, superhard materials. He has been Adjunct Professor in Materials Science at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK, and JSPS Professor in Japan. He was elected member of the AIRAPT Executive Committee in 2007.
