Dr. Frédéric Datchi is a CNRS Research Fellow since 1999 and a member of the Institute of Mineralogy and Condensed-matter Physics (IMPMC) of the University Pierre and Marie Curie (UPMC-Paris 6). He received his PhD in Condensed-matter Physics from UPMC in 1997 and worked as a post-doctoral Fellow at the Lyman Laboratory of Physics at Harvard University in 1998-1999. His main interests reside in the study of molecular ices and other simple systems under extreme pressures and temperatures, using diamond anvil cell, x-ray or optical spectroscopic techniques. He was a member of the EHPRG Scientific Committee in 2007-2010 and has been elected member of the AIRAPT Executive Committee in 2009. E-mail: frederic.datchi@impmc.upmc.fr
