Clemens Prescher is a Junior-Professor for Geomaterials and Crystalline Materials at the University of Freiburg in Germany. His main research interest lies in understanding geologically relevant materials under high pressure and temperature conditions. For this purpose, he has been using a many different analytical techniques, such as Mößbauer spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, inelastic X-ray scattering and transmission-electron microscopy. Apart from his scientific contributions to many different high pressure subjects, he also contributed several data analysis software packages for different analytical methods to the community, which are now widely used among high-pressure and also non-high-pressure scientists around the world. He was elected member of the AIRAPT Executive Committee in 2023. E-mail: clemens.prescher@geomat.uni-freiburg.de
